The Outlines Podcast: Uk True Crime · The Norfolk Missing- April Fabb

Out at 5 today on Patreon, a case told in two parts. In the early hours of September 23rd 1900, the body of a woman in her twenties was discovered in the dunes of Great Yarmouth's South Beach. Initially known as Mrs Hood, the woman had been staying with her young daughter at a local boarding house. Subsequent investigations however, revealed that Mrs Hood was not who she seemed to be. But who was she really? And what part did a man named Herbert John Bennett, who would later be hanged for the crime, have to do with her murder? The gas holder, the Banksy and both together. Three taken on location I. Great Yarmouth for today’s Patreon case of Daniel Entwistle. This is 7 year old Daniel Entwistle, who disappeared from Great Yarmouth on May 3rd 2003. I’ll be telling his story at 5pm on today’s Patreon exclusive episode of Outlines. Link in bio. A short video taken around the area of Camden Place in Great Yarmouth where the murder of Peter Miller occurred on December 9th 1984. Episode is out at 5 pm UK time. Out today at 5pm for Patrons or Sunday for everyone else… On Sunday the 9th of December 1984, 24 year old Peter Miller was found stabbed to death on the kitchen floor of the home he shared with his brother Tony, and Tony’s wife Paula at 10 Camden Place, Great Yarmouth. Despite two unusual findings at the crime scene and several intriguing sightings of the same unidentified mystery man, a premature disposal of evidence and lack of any real leads, means that Peter’s murder remains unsolved to this day. Today’s exclusive episode brings it up to 4 cases only accessible to patrons. I'd love for people to sign up if they can afford to do so to hear them. The latest episode recounts the case of 21 year old mother Karen Hales from Ipswich in Suffolk who was repeatedly stabbed and then set on fire in front of her 18 month old daughter sometime around 4:30pm on Sunday November 21st 1993. Despite anniversary appeals and continued media interest in Karen’s case, there have been few suspects and police have remained unable to answer the question: who would want to kill a woman with no known enemies? A couple of locations shots for today’s Patreon exclusive episode. This is Lavenham Road in Ipswich, photos taken last week. It’s a quick turnaround this week from one episode to the next. Apologies for all the back to back posts, I just have a lot of images to share! The roads which lead to the place where the body of Michelle Bettles was discovered. Behind me in the Polaroid shot was an impassable ford. The last known CCTV sighting of Michelle Bettles. Episode is out at 5 pm today (uk time.) can people let me know if they have a problem accessing it after 5 please- I’ve changed my hosting site and hopefully it shall be a smooth transition!
